New module: integration with Chronopost system

Medium size and large online stores are looking for automatization on their processes in order to improve delivery times, reduce errors caused by human intervention and cut operational costs.

The Chronopost system integration module allows the automatic generation of labels (to be used in package sending), during the packaging process and dispatch of the order made through the online store.

A motor needs to be installed on the client's facilities, so that it runs the website - online store - during certain periods of time, and, according to new orders, it generates a file. This file will afterwards be interpreted by Chronopost's Chronoship software, to automatically generate labels and inserting the order on this organization delivery system.

On the frontoffice, for clients that choose this delivery method, information on the order is presented so that the client may check, from Chronopost's website, the status/location of the order. Optionally, this information may also be presented to the client only when the order status changes to "delivery", on an email message sent automatically.

This module sets a new Sending method, and depends on the orders and sending methods modules. Other conditions: orders sent only for locations covered by Chronopost, in business models that allow Chronopost to set a cost based on volume and weight of the package.

Note: Only available for projects developed with cms@plako.
